I'd put him back by a lake, creek or pond. Turtles are a pain to take care of. Just let him be free.

Put it back where you found it or let it go in nearby river or lake. Baby turtles are quite capable of taking care of themselves from the minute they hatch. It'll be fine. Wild caught turtles don't usually do very well when kept as pets.

If the turtle was found in the wild, the best thing to do is put it back. The turtle will do fine on its own.

Hi, where did you find him? and how big is he? If you leave him where you found him he could get eaten by racoons, etc.
