What is the best way to get start up capital for a new business?

It really depends on how much start up capital. If it's only a few thousand dollars, try a line of credit. If you don't have collateral, try getting relatives and friends involved. If you need a hundred thousand or so, find an angel investor. When it gets to a million or more, you'll need a venture capitalist.
