In a perfect world, Serenity would be a lovely name with an equally nice meaning.
Unfortunately, I grew up with a Serenity, and she was teased relentlessly about the ADULT DIAPERS of the same name. So while it's a great name in theory, I'd have some serious issues with naming my child after a brand of incontinence products.
Have you considered Felicity? Perhaps Verity? I'd definitely look for something similar, without the same p-p-problem (sorry, couldn't resist). ;)

I personally don't like Serenity..it kinda sounds like a candle or perfume..I like Michelle though..but it's up to you..you name your baby the name you like..it really doesn't matter what other people think. I get grief all the time because I named my son Madison Isaiah..Madison had always been a boy name andcan be either or... kinda like ...Terry, Dana, and Jamie but I have had some very rude people make comments about his name..and I come to the conculusion..who cares what they think!! Just my two cents!!

It is not a name I would use
If you love Serenity Michelle, than it's the perfect name
You need to find a name you love, and do not worry about what people say
