From 1878 to 1918 Cetinje was the capital of independent Montenegro, as well as its cultural centre; it passed to Yugoslavia in 1918. In 1946 Cetinje was succeeded as the capital of Montenegro by Titograd (now Podgorica).

I am a Christian so that makes me an expert? I guess the asker thinks this is relevant because religious and ethnic factions in a country sometimes refuse to recognize political reality. The civil war is over--move on!
