It's also called paradoxical intent. It is not a method to be used lightly, in fact it can be dangerous i.e., in substance abuse if you tell an addict/alcoholic "you're not ready, go do your thing until you're ready", they might kill themselves or someone else. So if you are not a Psychologist or Therapist, and know exactly what you are dealing with, you may do more harm than good. Hippocratic oath, "if I can do no good, I will do no harm".

Reverse psychology is basically a bluff on your part to tell the individual do whatever you want. No, it doesn't suit anyone because some people are angry or irresponsible and will do whatever they want. It's important to know what it is for education purposes.

Reverse psychology is basically to allow an individual room to act while watching and observing espicially if you have told them to do the exact oppisite of what you wish for them to do.

It doesn't suit my personality...I see it as manipulation and I would take straight forward genuine expression and communication rather than a condescending 'talk down or around' way of addressing anything anytime.

It does artwork, if youre talking on the superb undertaking to the superb guy or woman. If its obtrusive the guy will call you out of path. some human beings arent even able to pulling it off to tell you the actuality.
