Philosophy is like speaking in rhymes - sometimes it makes sense, and sometimes it doesn't.
In order to understand something, people tend to break it down into little pieces and then put it all back together. The conclusion they make, are not always correct.

Knowledge incorporates theory and practice. It can take many years of a persons life to actually verify that a certain line of thinking is complete garbage. The person then at least knows one thing that most others do not. I respect others' opinions because I value their experiences, if and when they actually have had them. True, I don't have to go around repeating all their mistakes just for the sake of gaining first hand experiences and that is the main value of the other person's life story. I have also learned that just because something does not go down well with one person, it doesn't mean that it is the same story with others. Everyone
is entitled to their go at it, and I get to choose where I place my values.
No matter which road one has travelled on, there is always something of value which can be gained. People in any category have the possibility of knowing what they are talking about and of not having the slightest clue. One thing I have learned in life is that some people can keep on babbling the party line or what they were taught and at the same time be taking in information with the other ear which will some day upset the whole apple cart. They my not like to admit it cuz that might upset their vain imaginary picture of themselves, and that is ok too. To each his/her own. This is a free universe and nobody made me judge and jury over the whole works, not yet anyways. teehee!

Quite a few on here have actually studied philosophy, thus questions of a much deeper, more profound nature can be found posted here.
Some, like myself, seek to find out more and gain some knowledge from those with more experiance than myself, thus not knowing everything we talk about, but seeking wisdom from it.
Still others, I believe, are simply bored, and looking for something interesting. I occasionally do this myself, though usually in the jokes and riddles section.

Does anyone in any category even know what they're talking
about?
Technically speaking, every category on Answers can
be thought of as philosophy because people are sharing
knowledge and concepts. To practice the subjects of
each category on Answers doesn't require to talk about
the subjects or even to share knowledge about the
subjects. People log in to their account and participate
in Answers because it is part of their philosophy to
do so, regardless of whatever reason they might have.
Do I know what I am talking about? I will leave that to
the participants of Answers, and if some of those participants
choose to say that I know nothing then it shall be my
philosophy to log in to Answers and share all of the nothing
I know.

Well we normally read the question over a few times and wonder why they bothered to ask because they normally answer their own questions, and wonder why they want us to answer questions about their life. Next, they take a few minutes to process it (our brains don't work well), and finally we proceed to write the first thing that pops into our heads no matter how cheesy or stupid.
The funniest thing is the people with the stupidest answers tend to be the ones who actually are studying philosophy.
It's safe to say, we're all crackheads.

Many of them do know what they're talking about! There's also many that don't. Others are simply lost and looking for answers through the perceptions of others, which many times means little or nothing to them, as most things in life are unique to individuals.

Philosophy: love of wisdom (Plato)
I wonder if Socrates was formally qualified.
I doubt whether I, a mere human, the child of a lesser GOD, can hypothesise.

Today seems to be such a day, if you read the questions, although sometimes it gets pretty interesting, thank you.

Some have no concept of philosophy. Have never formally studied it and only value their demented opinions.
