We have some really good bands and solo artists in the UK - why aren't we allowed to enter them? Mika for instance?!
I don' get it. . . are we setting ourselves up for failure?

We always do. The selectors in all fields, not just music, are of the attitude it's the taking part that counts, not whether you win or lose. Just look at the selections for the England cricket team, for example. All other nations go all out to win and until our selectors get that through their privileged middle to upper class brains we will always be second class at best.

I can't see them .... telly's just gone fzzzzzttttttt - Jet didn't half get a shock, he kept sniffing the Big Grey Box with suspicion .... but they all sound as flat as a pancake (actually, this one - the one after France - isn't all that bad)
Ours is just a joke.

have you seen what other countries are entering? i seriously think a lot of europeans take it seriously, whereas us in the UK (rightfully so) see it as a massive joke, so we put a crap entry in!
