On a 1995 vetta 2.0 sohc motor the crankshaft timing mark is a white colored line sometimes a notch interior the crankshaft pulley desirable above the pulley you could see a set of numbers that has a 0 on it that 0 is actual lifeless middle. in case you have the motor vehicle disassembled place the timing cover on the decrease area of the engine slide the pulley onto the crankshaft line it up with the timber-ruff key or nicely the steel key then insert the protecting bolt and with a wrench or ratchet rotate the engine clock smart until eventually ultimately the mark lands on 0. Now for the camshaft there is ordinarily a mark or a small hollow on the kit and a quickly or triangular mark on the pinnacle merely at the back of the kit line that up then you definately merely path you t-belt properly and confirm that the rigidity it reliable. Then your all coated up and double verify you electric powered connections as nicely.

oil and grease will cause belts to deteriorate quikly so no.
also when replacing timing belt make sure there are no oil leaks allowing oil into timing belt area. fix them if there are.
I always check the timing belt tensioner and usually chage it at same time if needed.

NO NO!! If you have the correct manual for this car then go ahead and try this. The timing marks are not easy to find and get right. Easy to have the valves out of time and valve damage can occur.
