I know the old verbage "Let sleeping dogs lie", but this guy was a good friend. I moved away in 10th grade and lost touch. Maybe I am just getting old, but 2 years ago I started thinking about him. I decided to let it go, but about 2 weeks ago he came to mind and I just can't shake the feeling I am suppose to find him. I did find him on Classmates.com, he is in a relationship and has a kid. I don't want to jeopardize his happiness by coming back into his life. Again, we were just friends. It would have been nice to be more, but it wasn't in the cards. By the way I am in a relationship also and have kids. HELP!! Am I wrong to find him and try to get in touch? or should I just let him stay a nice memory?

It depends: Why exactly do you want to get back in touch with him? Is it because you were feeling nostalgic? Or maybe he represents a better time in your life? (I sound like a wanna-be therapist..LOL). I think that it's ok to reconnect with an old friend as long as there is no hidden agenda. But I wouldn't cross that bridge if you feel anywhere in your heart that you'll be putting yourself or him in a bad situation. Good Luck!

No harm in finding old friends. But meet him just as a friend without ulterior motives......
