ugh...all the TIME! It sucks so bad...It takes FOREVER for them to start it up again!everyone just walks up them, but I'm smart and I just stay where I am. I know you're supposed to stay where you are in these situations. Sometimes I wish I was a little more edgy, though...

OMG! This one time I was in the mall of America, and I saw this button right next to the escalator, and right as I was getting on I decided to press it, and almost immediately the escalator made this really really loud beeping noise, and said alert alert, then it began going backwards. It freaked me out. Yeah, so I guess that isn't stuck on an escalator, but it is pretty close.

A few weeks ago I was in a department store, I was going down the escalator, my hand was on the rail and my fingers came in contact with the metal part. I got a moderate shock.That was the second time that had happened to me. I thought about telling the management, but I never did.

....believe it or not, I have!!!!
When I was a little girl, my brothers used to go the wrong way on purpose, so this one day we went to this mall and entered a 2 story store. My brother and stayed behind to look at the toys and our parents went to the 2nd floor. So when my brother took me to them, he did it thru the wrong escalator. and their I was crying cause I couldn't get up the escalator. I wasn't even half way up, it seemed more like 1/4th up. It wasn't until he stopped laughing and came down again that he told me there was an escalator going up on the other side of this one.
I can never see one and not laugh at myself these days.

Yes. The escalator stopped and and I simply walked off. There were 2 dumb idiots though who just stood there wondering what to do next. Quite funny!

you chortle yet i used to paintings because of the fact the maintenance guy at jetblue i've got been given a decision as quickly as some woman became into caught in the escalator i concept "they bust be wrong... shes have been given to be caught in the elevator" yet specific adequate, i climb to the suitable of the escalator following the screams of a few women and fined her shoe caught between the stair and the floor... for some reason she in no way found out she ought to in elementary terms get rid of her foot from her sneaker...

u mean an elevator, yes i have...lol you cant really get stuck on an escalator can you? just continue to walk like they are regular steps?

i have half a toes from getting stuck on an escalator, my toe was stuck cause i wasnt wearing any shoes and then blood blood everywhere, half my tow was gone : (

no, but I've seen it on tv (a kid caught her shoe in the escalator) and it's not a pretty picture.
