Beauty, originality, and trying to perceive what the artist was thinking does it for me. If I see something that is really amazing I daze off for awhile, as an artist myself I know that something was going on in the artist mind to paint such a wonder, the question is always what.

Initially the colors....... there are always colors that catch my eye. But then you step back and find the message that an artist is communicating and then I can't stop looking at the work. Once I get into the head of the artist...... THEN i'm just mesmerized.

i'm not into the paint smearing thing that's supposed to be art....they just threw a bunch of paint on the canvas and mixed it!
