English hated Scots and Irish and Germans and vice versa and killed each other along with other white races of Europe, so this whites only oppress other peoples of color just doesn't fly, as far as the slavery issue goes it is a well known fact [by some] that black Africans sold black Africans into slavery.....

I think it's because "white" is an ambiguous description of skin color and not a race. What do you mean by "white"? There are Asians and Arabic people of very pale skin color. Do do they fit into your designation of "white"? If so, which are the cultural elements that you share in common with them that need to be celebrated? Why not celebrate those elements themselves rather than calling it "white" pride?

Caucasian is a more precise but still ambiguous term, since it can refer to a member of Carleton Coon's five racial designations (Caucasoid, Mongoloid, Australoid, *******, and Capoid). It can refer to one of the European Bioinformatics Institute eight designated ethnic groups (American Indian, Australian Aboriginal, Black, Caucasoid, Hispanic, Mixed, Oriental, and Pacific Islander).

Whichever one you refer to, it covers a very large geographical area. What cultural similarities do you share with Caucasians from India and North Africa? Again, why not celebrate those cultural elements themselves? It would be odd that you are celebrating a quirk of genetics, like "curly hair pride" or "Type I diabetes pride". By all means do it if you want but don't think other people won't think it's a little strange.

I'm sure if you were more specific, like "Irish-American pride!" or "UK expat pride!" etc. there would be somewhat less animosity. The ambiguous term "white" suggests only the racist and oppressive groups (such as those mentioned by previous posters) and nothing else.

They had all of the pleasure once they invade Africa and torture blacks with slavery. You understand why whites cannot do this considering the fact that to a few folks it sames like they run the whole lot and whites wasn't placed down and checked out because the filth are low people. So through a non white dressed in a pleasure blouse is considering the fact that although they're checked out as low they are nonetheless proud to be there race. Who places whites down? Why they have to put on a pleasure blouse once they wasn't those being stopped from getting an schooling and being slaves. They have pleasure. They had vigour once they did the ones matters they did. The pleasure blouse is only a approach of claiming although they're checked out as low they are nonetheless pround to be there race. I do not supply a f u c ok approximately no thumps down both.

Because of the history of the definition of white. One drop of black blood made a person not white when discrimination was written into law. To say you are white still carries the connotation that you are not contaminated. When you claim pride in being white you are not only saying you are proud of your heritage, but that you are proud you are pure, and that sounds racist. Think about it, why is Barack Obama called black or mixed but never white?

Please, tell me about a time when white people were oppressed by another race simply because of the color of their skin. Tell me of a race white people have not discriminated against because of the color of their skin. We know that there are Caucasians out there who are proud of their race. It just comes across as threatening when they boast about it given the history of the white race.

Kind of like discrimination. Whites discriminate against others but whites are never discriminated against. Is that another one for our Government or just the mentality of some races?

well they don't show "pride" in it...sometimes they just may show interest, but lots of time that is to cover up their racism

i can't speak for all white ppl, so i'm just guessing

but maybe they are so worried about being "racist" that they get sick and tired and actually DO become racist. i don't think they are just born racist. no one is.

You are right on some level. There are black only magazines and stuff but if there was a white only magazine that would cause some problems. But it's easy to be rasict even when you think your not.

unfortunatly due to a few ignorant people in your race, white pride if often associated with hatred of others. when someone white expresses pride in there race others automatically assume that they have hate for others and want to harm them (others). it is ok to have pride in your race it is just harder for you because of what white pride sterotypically stands for in today's society

Because historically, socially and politically, they have suppressed and attacked non-whites and non-protestants as anything from sub-human to intentionally attacking and subverting "clean, white, Christian" society.

When they show "white pride", it is all about power and suppression, not preserving historical identity and culture.

Because they were racist. And I assume some of them are still racist.
