What are the laws on posting copyrighted news into my own website?

You can post a feed because it just links to the original source...
The news companies make feeds because they want the hits - they love it when you bring people to their site...

But if you want the information to only appear on your site without a link, you must reword the story and rewrite it with information accredited to the original sources... but be very honest, documented and factual or you will be sued.

IANAL, but most copyrighted material will require attribution...some sources prohibit distribution without prior written approval. Check your source for each item.
