Many colleges have a point system for determining who gets in. Good grades, quality of essays, SAT scores and other factors may contributed to the total point score. In order to attract qualified minorities, some of these schools may give extra points to minorities. That means that if EVERYTHING else is equal, the black student may have a slight edge.
Not all schools do this. It is illegal for public universities in California to consider race in the admissions process.
An Asian guy who get 1900 on his SATs will have plenty of opportunities to get into a good college. Since over 50& of Asian-Americans get a college degree and less than 17% of African Americans get a degree (according to the census), I wouldn't say that African Americans have a better chance.

I personally do not believe this is true, but some college do look at where the person is coming from such as the community they grew up in. Even the college I attend gave a girl from a different area a larger scholarship than they gave me (and I had the better grades and live in the same area the college is in) because they wanted individual from that area. We are both black race; may not always be the deciding factor in everything

There is no validity to your assertion. Occasionally, during a slow news period an isolated case will attract attention and both the press and the public gravitate towards it like iron towards a powerful magnet. Not wanting to share the abundance of the USA, the unwarranted story fulfills an extremely slanted perception perpetuated by those holding the political and financial monopoly in America. It is extremely difficult not to buy into the hype and I applaud you for asking the question. With such a high score you should be able to fulfill your ambitions with minimal obstacles. Good luck!

quite possibly.
i don't have a website but i have live proof.
i knew a girl that was 1/8 black, and like 7/8 asian, i wouldnt say she wasn't bright, but she was not academically soaring like the others, she still got accepted to UCLA while others didn't. But also there could be other factors that are special that would promote your chances.

i'm afraid in united statesa. maximum African American and blended African descendants are very divided, cliquish and unfavourable. on a similar time as Latino Black human beings, of all ascents and pores and skin tones, are completely and fortuitously integrated contained locally and have not any racial problemo.
