when did the united kingdom form ??? ....who formed it ?? .....and what were the 5 countries who united together ....

There were several Acts that brought England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland (eventually just Northern Ireland) to form the United Kingdom. The Statute of Rhuddlan in 1284 brought Wales and England together. The Acts of Union 1707 brought Scotland into the UK. The Act of Union 1800 brought Ireland under British control. In 1922, Ireland became independent except Northern Ireland. In 1927, its current name of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland came into existence.
