If you believe something is true just because higly placed figures say so, then yes, you are brainwashed. Do some research and think for yourself.

Nelson Mandela is a person of grace and conviction, but the Pope is just a man in a silly hat! Why, realistically, would either of theses people's opinions about Fidel Castro be worth a hill of beans?

Communism is an EXCELLENT way to run a shared household of a dozen people; it saves a lot of paperwork to just equally share all the bills, and help yourself to what you think you need. More than about 12 folks, though, and it gets totally screwy... just ask a Cuban!

You're too young to remember the Cuban missile crisis that brought the world to the brink of nuclear war. We had the spy planes. We knew what it looked like from 60000 feet when the Russians were building a nuclear missile silo. That's what we saw in Cuba. We would have had nuclear missiles 90 miles from our shores. Kennedy demanded their removal. It was a big stand-off. EVERYBODY was nervous. In the final moments the other side blinked.Back then Castro would have been happy to carve up what was left of the United States with the USSR

Castro overtaxes his people so he can live in luxury. The people, on the other hand, live in dire poverty, many, including children, starving, so he can live in high style. What do you call a good person? Someone who entertains the Pope in high style to get a good report? Not my idea of good.
