No, it's not dangerous... just means your electric bill will be a bit higher. However, the bulb may last a little longer. Each time you turn on the electricity to light the bulb, it causes a (very short) surge through the element, which technically reduces the life of the bulb. Although the savings from the bulb lasting a little bit longer may not be worth the price of the electricity to keep it on for 24 hours a day.

it wouldn't hurt to turn it off during the day to let the cord and plug cool off and then there is ur light bill, it would probably come down some.
