can i feed my discus with brine shrimp..?

I would feed only the discus fry new hatch baby brine shrimps.

For adult discus unless you can find a source for adult brine shrimp, the baby BS would not really provide enough substance for the adult discus to grow.

Even if you have access to a constant supply of adult brine shrimp, I would still supplement it with some discus food for a more all round diet.

Yes, brine shrimp is an excellent food for discus. If you have discus over about 2" use adult brine, either frozen or live. Smaller discus will of course need and accept smaller food. Daily feeding with brine shrimp is fine as long as it's not the only food you give them. A quality flake food should be the staple of their diet and I would suggest instead of daily brine shrimp mix up the offerings using bloodworms, blackworms, mosquito larvae and small earthworms, depending on the size of the fish.

A wide variety of foods is very important to the health of discus.

yes you can use the brine shrimp but I recommend that you change up the brine shrimp with a high quality falke food every other day because the fish need a veriety of food to help with their digestive track


p.s makes there colors really pop out with this combination of food

yes you can give them brine shrimp if you feed it every day dont give them too much.i also use a water butt in the garden you will be amazed how many mozzy larvae you get wash them thru in a net and feed to the fish...all free and they love it.
