I am getting a code 43 (I think, verification to come) that comes on when idling in traffic. I know it is for the ecm, most likely due to a knock sensor advancing the timing for too long at a time, I have changed the one on the driver side of the engine, same thing. I'm wondering if theres anything else I should be looking for while I'm at it that could throw the code. Also, rather than disconnecting the battery again, can I pull the ECM fuse to reset the codes?

code 43, has several different descriptions..which includes.
Electronic spark timing failure, Fuel Temperature Sensor Circuit High, , Starter Signal battery, and Equate Code 42A, which is Ignition Control Error.. But if you have replaced the Knock sensor, then you might want to look at the wiring to the sensor..might be chaffed and loosing signal..

Code P0043 = HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1 Sensor 2) It means Bank 1 (Drivers side) Sensor 2 (Rear Sensor) is bad
Just disconnect the battery, it's not that hard to reprogram the radio memory.

According to the Haynes code 43 Your throttle possition sensor is out of adjustment. The beginng voltage should be close to 1 volt and at full throttle about 4.5 to 5 volts.Yes you can pull the ECM fuse to erase the code.Recomend adjust to specs or replace.

The absolutely free reverse vin check sites generally provide fake information. To get real information, money will have to be paid. The free searches provide fake information so they can get your email address to send spam.

Stay away from shady reverse vin check sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse vin check site like http://www.reversevincheck.net that has been around since 1995.
