Oh yeah. Along with Biggio, the pre-eminent second baseman of his era. Probably go with a Blue Jays logo on the plaque cap.

The Spit might delay him one ballot, but he'll get in.

I would have to say that he is borderline hall or famer. He is one of the best second basemen of his generation, but the thing that hurts Roberto Alomar's candidacy is the fact he has jumped teams frequently and it usually is because he has left of bad terms as a result.

Definitely, just look at his career numbers and how they compare to other Hall of Fame second baseman. I also had the priviledge of watching him play along Omar Vizquel for many years in Cleveland. They are and probably will be the best infield combination that I will ever see. Watching them turn a double play together was magic. Yes, Alomar was not always a graceful media darling, like Vizquel. But few before and probably no one since played second base like he did. HOF first ballot in my opinion.

Easily a Hall of Famer. Probably first ballot. He was the best second baseman in baseball for a decade, played on teams that went to the playoffs almost every year and won a couple of rings in Toronto.

No. He purposely spat on an umpire. HOF voters take violations of the rules (assaulting an official) and terrible sportsmanship seriously, and have tremendously long memories. He was also a whiny little punk all through his career. His numbers do not offset these things to the point where he will be voted in any time soon, if at all. I hope he never gets into the HOF.
