I have a Benq joybook 5000U and im having problems with the screen.I think its the graphics card because the i have yellow lines going down on the screen and my computer is forced to put it into its lowest setting.But if it is the graphics card then i dont know if i can change it because it is integrated and i dont know what else to do cause i have updated the driver and bios so does that mean i pretty much screwed or is their a solution to this?

Does this happen the minute you turn on your computer, or is it only in Windows. If only in Windows, then your problem is software related. If this happens outside of Windows, then your system could either have a bad graphics card or LCD. If that's the case, then try to contact the manufacturer for warranty service.

If you have an external monitor, such as a desktop PC monitor, try plugging it in to the VGA port. Does the problem still exist? If not, then your problem is the LCD display. These usually cost around $300 USD, depending on where you get it from.

On such a lot PC CD rooms there's a tiny gap the scale of a pin someplace on there. Power down your PC after which push a paper clip or pin in there, difficult. It will manually drive it to open. Get the bank card, toothpicks, shoe horns and some thing you caught within the and slide it closed once more. As in your CD Rom? Check your monitor cable pins , if its ok check hertz options for your monitor , follow steps ;
Right Click Desktop -> Properties -> Advanced -> Monitor Tab Change Screen Refresh rate.
