The Nigerian scam artist does not think that you are "silly", they think that you were born yesterday. And if you allow them or get envolved with internet communications they will ripp you off of every cent that you have in your back account.

If you think the Nigerian Government is going to do anything about their scams you have to fooling yourself.

Myself I get many emails that are from people living in Canada, France, Sweeden and London, England, so they claim and are pure scam artist with their financial scams.

When I trace their emails back I find they actually originated out of Nigeria.

When time allows I play their little game and when I have enough info., I turned them over to my contacts world wide in Interpol for criminal action.

Just delete them.

Do you ever watch TV? There was a program about this and other internet scams about a month ago. The Nigerian scam has been going on for at least 8 years, as I remember getting their email 8 years ago, and I started on the internet 10 years ago. The Nigerian government is aware of this, and actually, it is against the law in Nigeria, not that they will ever do anything about it. The spammers are teenage kids under the direction of adult spammers, so if they are caught, it is the kids who are caught. As a matter of fact, the Nigerian govt. makes no effort to catch them. So, put the crap in spam where it belongs and don't obsess over it. It's been going on much longer than you've been aware of it.

I've received spam from two Nigerian sources for over a two year period.

These guys just want your money. They want you to make a donation to their phony bank or doctor.

A few news sites have already done articles on these Nigerian spam artists and the Nigerian government is supposed to crack down on them. At least one American had sent a $1,500.00 check to a Nigerian spammer, so they're getting results.

Some people ARE silly, and respond to the emails (a.k.a 419 scams). Check out statistics at:
