If you had a copper penny it wouldn't be copper! However your silver penny. Firstly is it silver? Who minted it? Did anyone mint any silver pennies? Rare? How many were minted and how many still in circulation? Where did you get it? Did it turn up in your change or did you buy it? Was it a gift? who bought it for you and how much did they pay for it? IF it is silver then go and weigh it. An ounce of silver is worth about $12.
