I assume you mean a wireless G. It depends on what is around the router. If it is in an area with a lot of metal, walls, etc. Then the range will be alot shorter. I would suggest getting a liksys router and if the signal is not strong enough buy the range booster and that generally solves the problem. If it is in a very large house or a buisness you might need more than one router.

it depends on the range of the router. there is G, about good for small apartments and small condos, super-G, for middle size houses, and wireless n, for maybe a full house including the yard.

Depends on what shields it from the world. Most will cover 300-500 feet radius in an OPEN AREA! Not many get used in open areas however. Your walls, wiring, insulation etc block a good portion of the signal.

Most will cover about 300 feet. But if there are walls, wiring, phone lines, trees, pipes, ceilings, etc, the distance is reduced. Plus the further out, the weaker the signal. It is recommended that you not exceed about 150-200 feet.

In short:
30-100m exact range depends on many things (number of walls another wireless points even microwaves.... etc)

it depends, but it may go a several hundred feet depending on the brand of your router...range is'nt always the factor to consider, bandwidth must also be considered especially when you dont really need that extra range...
