Is it true that the bible is made up of myths, parables, legends and superstitions?
In my opinion, yes. Religion is all to do with control.
What has this god entity done for little Maddy? eh?

Yes it's true, but then ask yourself what myths and legends are?
Robin hood and King Arthur are myths and legends, but there is historical evidence that they existed in some form. Many biblical references have led archaeologists to lost ruins.
Ancient tribes passed their history down through verbal stories. Like everything these stories get changed over time. The Bible is similar but the story tellers considered the story sacred, and a sin to change. So it may have changed less.
Parables and superstitions all have a basis in some form of teaching. They are mostly designed so that people are taught things they need to do, without knowing the reason why.
I'm thinking of "ring 'o ring a rosie" for the black death, why you tip your soup away from you etc. etc.
I personally believe in God and Christianity, and love and respect Christ for his teaching. But even as just a historical document, the Bible has value.
One of the proofs that there is some truth to the Bible is that everyone seems to either take it too literally or corrupt it.
It makes people think we would be better off without it. Maybe they are right, but maybe this book also gives us clues as to why this should be the case.

--NO IT IS NOT TRUE, and for a partial answer here is why:
*** w92 5/15 p. 3 Is the Bible Really a Gift From God? ***
--“I BELIEVE the Bible is the best gift God has ever given to man.” That statement was made by Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States. He was not alone in his appreciation for this age-old book.
--The 19th-century British statesman William E. Gladstone stated: “The Bible is stamped with a Specialty of Origin, and an immeasurable distance separates it from all competitors.” Along similar lines, the 18th-century American statesman Patrick Henry said: “The Bible is worth all other books which have ever been printed.” Obviously impressed by the Scriptures, French emperor Napoléon Bonaparte commented: “The Bible is no mere book, but a Living Creature, with a power that conquers all that oppose it.”
--For some, the Bible has been a source of help and comfort. The American Confederate general Robert E. Lee stated: “In all my perplexities and distresses, the Bible has never failed to give me light and strength.” And because of his appreciation for this book, U.S. president John Quincy Adams said: “I have for many years made it a practice to read through the Bible once every year.”
*** jd chap. 1 p. 5 par. 3
Jehovah’s Messages for Then and Now ***
. English author Charles Dickens noted about the Bible: “It is the best book that ever was or will be known in the world . . . because it teaches you the best lessons by which any human creature . . . can possibly be guided"
--The Encyclopedia Americana says: “The influence of the Bible is by no means limited to Jews and Christians. . . . It is now viewed as an ethical and religious treasure whose inexhaustible teaching promises to be even more valuable as the hope of a world civilization increases.”
--MORE ON THE ACTUAL WORTH OF THE TEACHINGS OF THE BIBLE:
2 Previously, in 1931, Gandhi had told a British viceroy: “When your country and mine shall get together on the teachings laid down by Christ in this Sermon on the Mount, we shall have solved the problems not only of our countries but those of the whole world.” As the Hindu sage indicated, Jesus’ sermon points the way to lasting peace. In that sermon Christ said: “Happy are the peaceable, since they will be called ‘sons of God.
--SO THEN ARE YOU a myth , superstition, fable, legend?
--OR CAN YOU prove that you exist, OR are you a theory?

i think its true and it is a software designed for mind control,by very devious and power full people to control the masses ,and have done for a long time
much symbolism has been purposely humanized, and periodically strengthened ,by those in power with archaeological finds or miracles (such the shroud of Turin ,a fraud engineered by Leonardo DA Vinci) to emphasize the myth so that it became truth

I'm going to make this as simple as I can even though I think
you will go ahead and think what you want to think. My wife
was bad sick. They told me she was brain dead. That she
would feel nothing it they took body parts for transplants.
She lived. They said she had brain damage and that it was
irreversible. It seemed to be true. I prayed for a miracle and
expected it. 11 prayers in all were answered. Doctors called
some of them miracles. Thats my proof! You and 1000s like
you couldn't change my mind. Totally incapable. After 6+
years my proof is fixing lunch. Try it your way in the ER and
good luck.

People believe what they want to believe, it really is that simple. People believe things for various reasons and that is another topic. Also, people can turn anything into "evidence" in their mind and even convince others that it is true. Look how many people believed the earth was flat in the days of Columbus. I am sure many people said, "Did you hear what that crazy Chris Columbus is saying?!! He is saying the earth is round!! Boy is he in for a surprise when he falls right off the edge of the world in his ship!" A good example of the majority believing a falsehood. People believe in the Bible because it makes them feel good. It gives them the hope ours is not purely an existential experience, which many cannot handle.

Regardless of whether it is true or not, it is folly to take it as the literal word of God. It was written by men. Men subject to the imperfections (such as bad memory) and prejudices (such as homophobia) all men (and women) can be subject to. As a Christian I do my best to live as I think Christ lived, loving all others and judging none. After that, the rest of the Bible is, to me, not important.

Nope this is not true. However what is true is, it has been re-written so many times it is no longer a holy book, because of this it is full of mistakes and has also been mis-interpreted. Not once does Jesus say he is God and he never actually says he is the son of god. He says my father in the sense that God created him in the same way he created everything. he means Creator not technically father. Also he predicted the coming of the Islamic prophet Mohammed so logically Islam is the correct religion lol.
