This place is so not good for you, lol...but I keep going back..

Anyone with experiences like this? Perhaps not Taco Bell but McDonalds or something?

I had the same experience with Taco Bell. I think it's an aging body thing. I don't know how old you are but when I got to be about 33-36 is when it started happening. So if that's how old you are, that might be what's going on with your bod. Now I have to choose different menu items than I did before.

I love Taco Bell!

As a manager for a Taco Bell, I think a number of issues need to be clarified here:

1. I read the ingredient labels and have seen no addictive chemicals listed.
2. Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and KFC are no longer part of Tricon foods. YUM! foods now owns them, as well as Long John Silver's and A&W. This explains the many multi-branded locations.
3. Taco Bell is certainly not grade D or F meat. That is preposterous. Please visit www.tacobell.com in reference to the E. Coli issues from late 2006. You will see that it was not Taco Bell that contaminated the food, but actually a produce vendor that provided lettuce and other vegetables to various companies.
4. For those of you who think you know the "facts", and chose to spread half-truths and gossip about topics you think you understand, please keep in mind that some of us out here depend on these great companies for our livelihoods, and when you inaccurately slander a company, you inadvertently affect the hard-working people that the company employs. I have worked at multiple restaurants and concepts and have found YUM! foods to be the most safety-conscious and well-operated company around. They do the most thorough inspections on every restaurant many times each year, and have harsh consequences for restaurants that do not improve their performance.

5. I have eaten Taco Bell every day since I started, and have lost 35 pounds, 4 inches from my waist and am in the best shape I have been in since I graduated High School. Watch the documentary "Super-Size Me" and see if Taco Bell is even mentioned in the movie with the other, more unhealthy restaurants. I don't remember seeing it.

I like Taco Bell. Their food is healthy ---- nothing deep fried.
Beans are good for you

They are going to mix a super extra portion of onions into their Bean Tacos and call the new Taco, Tear Gas Special.

Personally I think that taco bell is around 75% better than mcdonalds just because the quality of the food is better and because that you don't hear about anybody suing taco bell because it made them fat or some stupid crap like that. Plus, I don't know if its just here or not but theres never a line around lunch and dinner rush so you get your food faster than mcdonalds.

I used to feel that way about the fried chicken sandwich at Mcdonalds. I always felt sicek afterward but it was SOOO good. I called it disgustingly delicious, lol. Finally stopped giving into the urges and havent been to a damn McD in over 3 years. I do still love me some Taco Supremes though.

I have the same sickness. Now, however, I live in a very rural area where the nearest Taco Bell is 45 miles away. I eat there every time I am in that town. I have often wondered if there is something in the food that addicts you to it? I ate there EVERY DAY for over 2 years! When my girls were babies, they would want McNuggets so we would go to MD's and then to TB for me! Now tell me you are as sick as I am. My favorite thing to eat are tostada's; second favorite is the burrito supreme. Okay I'm drooling. Gotta Go. LOL Nana

OMG for me it's Lays potato chips in various flavours I just can't stop at one pack and it's like such a addiction that I literally had to make up my mind even not to look at lays cover or advertisement lol but i do....hehehe irresistible and on top of that my personal trainer just kicked my A*s lol for eating it thats why had to just quit eating it lol but i wud just eat that and need nothing else. Yeah I feel disgusted when I realise I'd put on weight lol otherwise not at all lol. I really think these food people put drugs in the food but it's the MSG mono sodium glutamate thats the real culprit in the food industry to make any thing scrumptious u add in added amount of MSG ( a little more then wats allowed by the FDA ) and it makes the human body crave for more and more.

SAC isn't too far off. It's not crack, but it's close: Its high-tech salt.

Tricon Foods, the parent company of Taco Bell, KFC and Fritolay, puts monosodium glutamate (MSG) (a fancy salt) and other sodium-based flavor enhancers in all of their stuff to make you come back again and again. They are sort of addictive (Think Fritolay product Lays potato chips slogan: Bet you can't eat just one!) Doritos, those tacos, KFC, all that same craving after a bit--and full blown disgust after a lot.

I stay away from it. All processed food.

I only eat meat, potatoes, veg, fruit, all of it if I can clearly recognise where it came from.

If it only has "one" ingredient--I'll eat it--or cook with it--and spice it myself--while skipping the MSG.
