people out there as well. Why is it that more often than not I meet the rude nasty ones that only want online sex or to email for a week or to and then disappear. Aren't there any people out there that are genuinely interested in getting to know people? Or am I just that naive? I know I am going to get a lot of smart aleck answers out of this question but hopefully I will get some adults that are really looking for intelligent conversation. Thanks for listening.

I'm nice and normal! I have quite a few online friends whom I've known (unfortunately only online and on the phone) for up to 3 years. Two of my best friends are people I met online. I'm an adult too; I'm 23. It's usually easy to tell who is sincere about being friends and who will stick around, versus those who are just there for a few minutes to flip the crap and then you never speak to them again. I know what you mean, though; a lot of people are just looking for a good time with cyber sex/phone sex, and then they suddenly disappear, or if you see them online, they suddenly don't know who you are. I promise, I won't solicit you for any sexual favors. ;)

There are good and bad prople on the net. i have met mostly bad ones but i have met the odd good guy. There are people out there who really does want to get to know a person and you can usually tell by the first email they send you whether or not they are really interested! When creating your profile state what you want in a person but sometimes they don't even read what you have wrote and just look at the pics!!

not trying to be smart, but maybe you should start having real, intelligent conversations, with real people, in real life. The internet is a great source of information, but it's not a great place to find honest relationships/friendships, whatever. It's fun chatting to people, and once in a while you talk to someone who seems "normal". Email me if you ever want to talk to a real person, with real passions and goals.

The On-line world is no different than the outside world, you will find all different types of people who want all different things. The best way to find what you are looking for is to go to a site or chat rooms that are promoting what you are looking for. Just like in the outside world if you are looking for a certain type of people go to the places they are most likely to be.

There are more nice and normal people than there are the nuts. Me, for example. Totally normal female adult, literate, intelligent and not on any mind altering substances. Just the average American woman.
