When I try to add my own HTML into the code box on Dreamweaver it comes up with this error:

What do I do to either turn it to fals so its unlocked or just so I can add my own code in.
The code works I've tried it literally on the Internet but whenever I put it in it comes up with this error.

Can anyone help?

Just bypass Dreamweaver's rigidity and add the code by opening the html file in Notepad.

Right-click the file and select Open with --> Notepad.

Paste the code where it needs to go.

You're done. Save the file, close it and enjoy the effects of your code.

All the best.
