More "Conservative".

Democrats are primarily responsible for the total failure in foreign policy that has culminated in the war on Terror that President Bush has been forced to fight.

Foreign policy in the United States has been primarily based on Presidential and Congressional policy since World War 2, Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, Carter and Clinton. Since Roosevelt took office in 1933, seventy four years ago, forty years have been spent with a Democrat President and about 60 with a Democrat congress.

When terrorists started attacking US interests in the seventies Democrats had been in control of the White House for over half of the time and in control of Congress the entire time.

People are not stupid and that is why we have elected primarily Republicans over the last thirty years, Regan, Bush 1, Bush 2.

Currently "liberals" are propagandizing in an attempt to return the United States back into the failed fascist domestic and foreign policies that caused the current problems.

To make it easy, the majority of the people in the United States are figuring out that Democrats, especially those who call themselves "liberal", supported slavery, are anti-civil rights, imprisoned Japanese, attacked communism in Korea and Vietnam, went after Castro in Cuba and attempted to redefine the 2nd amendment term, militia, defined in the US Code (Federal law for the more ignorant).

Here is a suggestion, put the Iraq withdrawal vote to a national referendum and see if Soros and his fascist buddies and propagandize their way through a national vote on the issue.

It would answer your question and shut the detached "liberals" up for a few days, until they start screaming about hanging chads again.

PS: Don't you just love it when someone pontificates?

Neither. We are as conservative as we have been. When a conservative runs nationally, he wins big. See Reagan and Newt Gingrich and the Contract with America.

The problem is Republicans have stopped being conservative. The base voted them out in the last election. They went for conservative Democrats and it has gotten worse with Queen Pelosi.

The Americans walked away from Republicans and went to Democrats, who have taken a far left swing.

There was no active choice to go to liberals, only one to go away from Republicans.

We are becoming both and with extreme differences. In many ways today we are a nation of sociopaths. Conservatives are becoming much like Nazi's and liberals much like Jews. I would say that right now we lean left mainly because of the current administration. We have never been this closed minded, arrogant, or downright ignorant in our history.

It works like a clock pendulum. Political attitude in the US goes from left to right and back again. In the 1960's the pendulum was pegging left. By the 1980's the pendulum had moved to pegging right. In the 90's it moved slightly to the left of center and then it moved to the right again. We are now seeing the beginnings of a leftward movement again. It may not be slight this time but could move quite a bit farther left. Not as far as the 60's but left nevertheless. Eventually it will swing back to the right again. Large swings seem to happen about every 20 or so years.

More liberal every year. But to be fair, on some issues Americans remain stubbornly conservative, on the second amendment for example, and I couldnt agree more.

I know that this depends on your point of view, so I'll ask people not to be too hateful in their replies.
I would say that we really can't tell. For every liberal movement, there is a conservative one. It's all balanced out.
