It is a parody of the typical movie scene where the character attempting to resolve their conflict ends up running across all the things they are conflicted about. Also they are making some plays on the various religions showed and the neon signs are symbols the religions advertising, in a cheap peep-show type of way. Then they Amish sign is real simple, which is really funny, because the relgion emphasizes simplicity.

Sorry I don't mean to be rude or ignorant but could you tell me what a Parody is?
I hate not being able to answer questions due to my limited knowledge and my momma always used to say "better to look a fool for a few seconds than all you're life" So I'm taking her good advice and raising my hand to ask.

this is from the previous episode reference of snpp.com. the Scene where Lisa walks along looking for a religion is reminiscent of the scene where Bart and Milhouse are stoned on Squishee which is episode IF06 Boy Scoutz 'N the Hood this is a parody of the 1949 movie on the town.
