Yes, perfectly.

As was the war in Nicaragua and as was the almost-war in Lebanon.

We were smart enough to get out of Lebanon quick - Reagan quickly (after a couple hundred Marine deaths in the barracks suicide bombing) saw through the flaws (suicide warriors) to view the quagmire (no win situation) the military commanders typically ignore in these matters - military commanders being heavily influenced by their future employers, the Military-Industrial Complex contractors benefiting from the profits made by killing foreigners.

110%. Funny how people actually think that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11. 15 of the 19 alleged hijackers (5-7 still being alive thanks to interviews by the BBC and the Guardian) were from Saudi Arabia. Why then, if responsible didn't we bomb them. Oh yeah, forgot. Bush is good friends with the Princes' there.

Then I guess, we'll have to look at that good ol' PNAC documents that included REBUILDING AMERICA'S DEFENSES. Where that was a total strategy of taking over the middle east. Though it would've taken years unless there was a new Pearl Harbor event to speed things along. That was 9/00. We all know what happened a year later. Now it seems to be right on schedule.

F#*K YOU NWO!!!

Far more knowledgeable military minds than Obama have been providing constant assessments of the war. Afghanistan and Iraq are two totally different worlds and "mountain " fighting is totally different than "desert" warfare. The Russians learned their lesson in Afghanistan and they had more troops and logistical support than we do. I don't agree with the Iraq war and now it seems Obama is jumping on the band wagon, because the Iraqi Cabinet has already asked us for a withdrawal time table. Two weeks ago, he needed to "visit" first, to "revise" his estimates. Doesn't this guy "see" the same image he's sending us ? As for Afghanistan, try "humping" mountains, with a 100 pound ruck, where every "crack" is a potential ambush sight. Great Info Major !

I think you would have to kick Americans like dogs before they understand that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11

I don't know what fake Iraq threat you are refering to. Because wasn't the killing of hundreds of Americans during the 911 attack on the World Trade Center a threat? I guess it doesn't really matter to you because you didn't lose a family member because of the rag-headed-terrorist-Iraqi-scum.

Why not?......after all, if we didn't have conflict worldwide to meddle in, we would have to face the ugly reality of the decayed infrastructure and basic society in our own country...
