Yep I read it in The Sun, I don't know why they are but really shouldn't; espically as the show gets around 5.5 million viewers. Another bad move by ITV then.

I'm not really bothered if they cut the number of episodes. I used to enjoy the Bill before it became something of a soap opera. Quite a few of the story-lines are rather OTT and most of the interesting characters have either been axed or killed off. I see little likeness to real police officers in either the casting of actors or, in a couple of cases, their general performance. Who ever was responsible for 'Mickey Webb' must have been in cloud cuckoo land at the time. For pity's sake, don't take the Bill away from people who love it. For MY sake, just despatch DC Webb to the 'delete' file so I no longer have to endure his prolonged garbling together with one of the worst acting performances known to television!

I don't really care to be honest.
I used to love this programme, I never missed an episode until they killed off John Bolton, got rid of most of CID and then turned it into a soap opera instead of keeping as the great drama series that it was. There was a crime comitted in the first 5 minutes of an episode and usually (but not always) solved by the end. I know it wasn't true to life, but it made for great viewing. now it's just Eastenders in uniform.

Oh God I hope so - seems like every time I turn the TV on there's an advert for the bloody Bill, so if they cut the number of episodes there's a chance they'll cut the trailers for it ! ! !
