Not exactly. But once I was trying to launch my rocket and the countdown kept going on for hours due to constant delays. Then when mission control finally gave the go ahead to launch - the rocket just fizzled. Luckily after a few minor adjustments and fifteen minutes later, the mission became a success.

Nope...and I always make sure to complete a couple of practice missions at the hangar before the rocket launches, anyway.

No, I always pace myself. usually the landing strip explodes first.
