I appointed a former coal exec to oversee mine safety and a former Exxon CEO to solve our energy crisis.
Now I am nominating Michael Baroody, who has lobbied for 13 years against product safety laws, to head the Consumer Product Safety Commission. - George W. Bush

This boils down to a single overarching precept of the conservative right. Namely - The government must support the interests of business, corporations to maintain the health of the nation.

This started to really gain steam in modern time with reagn and Reagonomics, namely the trickly down effect. Unfortunately it has been proven that this does not owrk. Even reeagan was forced to witness this and adjust to keep the economy from crashing.

Bush, being fundamentally stupid, elitist and concerned with the values and support of the rich has launched this failed public policy once again. Don't worry, we will be able to turn this around just like we did after we voted the last group of conservatives out replacing them with Clinton.

How exactly is this damaging citizens' rights?
By the way......company execs are citizens too. Stop treating them as if they aren't. They can believe or lobby for whatever they want.

And just so you know, I'm a juris naturalist. Hope you understand what that means.

Thats retarded. It's the left wing people who are always saying we're not allowed to do this or that because it's "infringing on their rights..." Whatever. If I want to say the Pledge of Allegiance, and I happen to be thankful to God for my country, then I am going to mention Him in my pledge! If they don't like it, skip the line, don't get it ruled out of the Allegiance for two idiots.
