I see that there are many prepaid debit cards for Visa and Mastercard. I need to know which is the best for travel to Germany and the Czech Republic, which one has the lowest fees for ATM transactions in those countries. I also need one I can load as much as $2000 on at a time.

Set up fees, shipping, fees for this and that seem to add up when you look at the fine print on these prepaid cards.

Please help!

I would agree with just a friend. Bring your bank's ATM card and you'll be fine.

The problem with prepaid cards it you can only get so much out of them in a 24 hour period. The other problem is they don't work well in playing for things like hotel rooms or anything with a high cost. The hotel or merchant will reserve around 150% of the bill until they get their funds. This means that extra amount isn't available to you for a couple of days.

Keep in mind that debit cards don't carry the same protections that credit cards do either.

I have found that both MasterCard and Visa are widely accepted in Europe, however it seemed that MasterCard was a bit more. However the card with the lowest fees would simply be your current bank ATM card.

You can buy an All-Access Visa Travel card at lots of grocery stores, enter your zip code here to find one:

However, you can only load 3 times and the maximum load is $500.

You might as well just buy a reloadable card:

http://www.allaccesscard.com/

This one has the same fees and can be loaded any number of times with up to $10,000 and a maximum of $2500 at a time.
