Go wireless. WIFI. Amazing how much more fun you can have when you can just open the laptop and sign on. Anywhere in WIFI range. For example, you can get a WIFI set-up for under $100USD and be able to access your entire home network from any of your computers. Also there are lots of promotionals like rebates and cash rewards to cover the costs of modems, WIFI gear and even put a pretty penny (many pennies) in your piggy bank.

For the same speed your are going to get from roadrunner, you are going to pay a lot more for DSL. If get the money--- get the DSL for a specific speed you want. All the way to T1 line.
Cheapest deal offered - DSL, but slower than roadrunner. Hope that helps.

Had DSL 'till last week...then had cable installed. I like it more because the phone lines can be a problem in stormy weather around here. Cable's more reliable I think. Dial up? LOL!!!!

Well I use cable and now seeing well over 5meg -- best DSL could do at my location was about 2meg due to length..
I think the answer depends on which one will deliver you the best service.. and none of us can really answer this.

If there is a new DSL provider in your ares that could be good but if they don't keep adding new lines you could end up paying heaps for a 52k 0r worse connection,
otherwise Cable.
I prefer Sat with ADSL2+ backup lines though.(wish i could afford it)

Actually that is going to depend upon where you are living, sometimes service from the same company is good in one area and bad in another. You can play around here:
http://www.dslreports.com/
to check what is available in your area and how it is rated. Good luck.
