Democracy is a menace to right-thinking people everywhere. Common citizens cannot be allowed to question the decisions of their rulers! The common man cannot be trusted to manage his own affairs--democracy is the first cousin of anarchy.

First off, we're not a democracy. We are a democratic republic. A full blown democracy is nothing short of mob rule. America is one of the truest forms of a democratic republic. Others that call themselves that are places like North Korea or North Vietnam. But read this about that.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democratic_republic
A democratic republic is under rule of law, with some democratic principles sprinkled in. For instance, we vote democratically, but we have three branches of government, executive, legislative and judicial. That's the republic part of it. It provides the checks to prevent a dictatorship.
Thats why on many occasions we hear things like the Democratic Social-Revolutionary Party of Cuba, the Democratic Solidarity Party, the Liberal Party of Cuba and the Social Democratic Co-ordination of Cuba. Cuba is a dictatorship and democratic is used in most of those instances.
If it's a full blown democracy in most cases you have one leader who is in charge of all three branches of government.

the United States has shifted over the last 300 years from being a democracy to a form of plutocracy, where only those that have a certain amount of wealth have a chance at making public office.....the whole 'democratic process' has become nothing but a farce, a false illusion.

actually we're a democratic republic...we do fall into the democracy category...it's just a different kind....
democracy would never succeed in Iraq anyway, it's a country that has been ruled by religion for thousands of years, you don't get rid of that over night...not only that it is surrounded by theocracies..

the fact is that united statesa. brings a super form of evil to this international, extraordinarily as quickly as we attempt to impose our innovations on others, and extraordinarily as quickly as we escalate our grasping international-view. Our interest must be to make united statesa. a place we are able to all relish, the place values like preparation, mercy, humility, compassion, and complicated-artwork are our optimal ideals, extremely of lack of know-how, intolerance, satisfaction, greed, and laziness. Take a protracted seem at what at the instant passes for subculture in our land, and additionally you will for sure see how the 2d set of "values" predominates. we are able to hardly "unfold democracy and rid the international of evil" while our own message seems to be particularly the choice.
