British spellings make more sence. I even remember when I was younger we were taught the British spellings of words like colour and honour. American words are mostly not spelled how they sound. I also noticed that British words usually don't use the letter "Z".

I prefer American spelling where it's shorter (color vs colour; honor vs honour; labor vs labour) etc.
I prefer British spelling of grey vs American gray.
I prefer American spelling of theater vs British spelling of theatre, since theater seems closer to the pronunciation.

british, absolutely.maybe because im a literature freak.i once accepted that i would lose points on an american i.q test, because i only use british spelling.i told the teacher i was not going to compromise,i'd rather take the hit.she told me not to be stubborn, but i did it anyway.apparently, british spelling is acceptable on an american i.q test if the subject happens to be british,if u are american,u are judged to have misspelled-hey,they invented the language, personal preferances should be accepted !!!!!!

What is the name of the language in which I am currently speaking to you? That may give you a clue.
