I did spot some with my children. I was told by the dr that if it was like a period then to be concerned.... if it was just a little blood and especially if it was NOT bright red then it was probally ok.
Bleeding is normal to some extent and some women have it and some dont... watch out for cramping like a period or back cramps.
good luck.

im in the uk i found out i was pregnant at 4weeks started having blood loss went to the doctors had 3 lots of blood tests confirmed i was pregnant. the doctor told me i was in the stages off losing it so he sent me for a scan.. scan confirmed i was pregnant but found a cyst on my ovary. days later bleeding stopped and everything was looking ok week later bleeding started and been booked for another scan. so fingers crossed. if theres not as much blood as your norm period i wouldn't worry too much but always expect the worst. when i had my first child i had blood loss for the first 3 months just dont get too excited and think the worst its better than all the heart break but im sure you will be fine. just take it easy hope eveything goes ok....

I wouldn't be worried. I bled thru my whole first trimester (at times it was as heavy as my period) until I was 14 weeks and then it stopped. I am still carrying a healthy baby and everything is fine. Spotting is so normal. I know it's hard to trust that, but just keep positive and things will work out perfectly.

Many women bleed and don't have a miscarriage, your chances may be marginally higher than someone without bleeding but I doubt it. That's barely any blood, and it is more than likely your cervix bleeding. That doc was just an idiot.
Of course miscarriages do happen, fairly often, so I can't say "no you won't miscarry"
In the meantime I think you should read this, I think all women should read it:

while i can't address the question of whether you will carry the fetus to term or not, i can say that there is definitely hope FOR YOU, as you had the presence of mind to do the prudent thing and go to the ER and get checked out. i would recommend that you follow up with your OB/GYN on Monday.
best wishes for you and your potential little bundle of joy!
