Yes, it has touched me a great deal.
The multifaceted Elizabeth and Darcy, the novel presents stock characters that I identify with quite well. The interfering, well-intentioned but ridiculously foolish mother resembles my spouse's mom; the pompous Mr. Collins is none other than my uncle.; the snobbish Miss Caroline Bigley is exactly my auntie and the scoundrel Wickham is my Dad. Even though am no Mr. Darcy and my spouse has never resembled Elizabeth, I'd say Austen's characters are still living today especially whenever my dad speaks and my aunt starts her endless lip-flaps!

Oh man - hands down, I've gotta say Pride & Prejudice! It's one of my all-time favourites and isn't even sad at all :) Atonement is sad. Quite sad. But worth a watch as well :) Enjoy whichever you choose! P.S. Have you seen any Jane Austen films? They're definitely winners! :D I'm a huge fan!

i t really touched my heart. i really love romance books but also the determination of Elizabeth Bennet is really something. I mean in the end she and herr sister found their true loves out of all the confusion and despair around them. its a truly amazing book

for me it's just escapism the characters are believable and the story is good but purely imaginary as the author did not find her love or marry however it is my favourite movie
