Yes I like it very much but mine are the reasons my buddies are reluctant to touch it.
The main subject of the novel is stated in the first sentence of the novel.
The story is told through Elizabeth but not in the first person.
The mood of the novel lacks dramatic emotions. The atmosphere is intellectual and cold.
Yet the tone is light, satirical and vivid. Examples: scene when Mr. Collins proposes to Elizabeth or when Lady Catherine visits Lizzy at Longbourn provides comic relief but also reveals certain traits of the characters.
I just love this type of narrative strategy.

it is a great love story. in a time when young woman had no choice but to marry. it was best if they married rich. in the story you meet 2 woman who want to marry for love. that was not a common thing. sure people wanted love, but money was always the driving force. they great thing was, both meet their perfect man. It made their maother happy that both men were very rich. It is a great story because you get to see the struggle of people who really don't like each other but end up in love despite it all. it is about good and evil and finding oneanother.

I love it, it's one of my favorite books. It doesn't have action or adventure in it but it's interesting. It's about a real life family who goes through real things. It's slow paced so it's not one of those books you can't put down which is kind of nice because when I read books like that I'll read instead of getting homework done.
