I live just above 4000 feet and have never had problems with fleas. I have been told that it is too high for them. Ticks on the other hand, are found in areas much higher than 4000 feet.

Dream on baby! I'm a mile high and have plenty, friends at 7500 feet have plenty. Have lived at 10,000 feet and found ticks, I wasn't into invading rodent dens looking for fleas up there, so can't be sure. Same myth about rattlesnakes, HA!
