I don't see anything about Apple Computers. I hear they are great from a reliable source. The school districts Media Technology Center uses Apples and say they work great. They use them for the Cable channel. Are they tricking me into buying something not worth the money? Oh and by the way I WILL NEVER BUY A DELL AGAIN!!!

The all time every time best computer to buy is a CUSTOM Built one, that way you can put in all the parts you want, and not get all that garbage software trail ware etc.that they ad on.(You have control ,you can put in quality parts) If you need lots of storage space you can get any size hard drive you want ...Seagate & Western Digital are good brands.
If you want a Windows machine get a Core 2 Duo Intel Processor, Asus Motherboards are solid,
Mac's today are Intel based so they can run Windows, you can get a program called Parallels.
Go to your locale computer stores and get a quote, to see who has the best price on the parts you want.

The best computer companies I know are:
1) HP (resonable prices)
2) Sony (resonable prices, but mostly expensive)
3) Gateway (resonable prices)
4) Alienware (very expensive)
I'd prefer HP. Their website helps you pick the best computer for your needs, and lets you customize it with more hardware and software.
NEVER GET A DELL. THEY SUCK, THEY'RE CHEAP, AND THEY BREAK EASILY.
At my school, they use DELL laptops, and almost every month, something wrong happens. Like a key breaks off, or the screen has errors, or there are compatibility errors with flash drives.
Alienware is all about fashion. It has the BEST LOOKING computers ever. It even customizes the desktop icons and background to make it look like Vista or something even better, when you are really using XP.

Hi. The best one is the one that meets your current and future needs. You need a large capacity hard drive with a second hard drive for backup. Does not sound like you need a high end GPU or multi-core processors. I would go for a gig or two of RAM.

AlienWare is a great computer. But sometimes the hardrive breaks fast. But, I have Gateway and it's a really good computer.

Alienware make computers with massive amounts of storage space and that are really fast, so you might say they are the best. It's just they are not the most reliable.
