I assume you mean that early in the fill, the gas squirts back out of the nozzle that is in the tank.

You might have a kink in the tank's filling pipe or have not pushed the nozzle all the way down into the tank entrance. After that initial hiccup can you ever go to full open on the nozzle? If so then go full for the rest of the filling. Otherwise you might want to try another gas station or have a mechanic look at why there is a problem.

Modern US fill systems are supposed to shut off when the tank is full and not spill gas.
