Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aNLud

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

If you are a law enforcment agency who can compel an isp or webmail provider to supply the info then yes.

If you can write/find virus code and the person at the other end is stupid enough to open it then yes.

But in the normal run of things, and staying within what is legal then the best you can do is a private individual is to view the code of the headers in which the details of the outgoing mail server appears. However even with this info you can't id the individual...but at least you know the displayed address matches the mail server and has not been spoofed.

(lots of spam filters will check for this spoofing and disguard spoofed mail anyway)

You should have added how and what program/tool do i use to trace that email. Most people would say yes or no, without really being helpful. I am also interested in doing so, but i think that requires some skill, knowledge rather than a simple program.

If it's just a scam attempt then simply delete (unread if possible). If it gets persistent you can send a report to abuse@domain where domain is the bit after the @ in the senders address. Same applies if it gets offensive. Whatever you do don't open and never NEVER reply. You can't personally find the senders real details, but ISPs can

You can use this reverse phone lookup service ( http://reversephones.info ) It can be useful in a lot of different situations. If the caller asks for your name reply by asking for their name. Do not give them any information about yourself. Ask what number they dialed and ask for their number. You will be able to use this number later when you carry out a reverse phone lookup to identify the caller. The individuals who make these calls intend to upset you in some way or even cause you more significant harm. This could be for many different reasons. Perhaps they wish to get revenge for you breaking off a relationship or they may simply just get some sort of twisted gratification from making you feel uncomfortable. Some criminals attempt to obtain useful information from unsuspecting children. Teach your children to ask for the caller's name and number and to inform the caller that someone will call them back.

I Alot of the big websites like myspace and facebook allow you to search for people by their email address. Worth a shot.

Apart from that it depends on the lengths you wish to go to in order to identify the individual. I highly doubt a specific piece of software exists for what your trying to do.

The IP could be traced back to the ISP that owns it. From there, the ISP can retrieve the information on the account that's linked with the IP, which incorporate the call, handle and greater.
