Yes I believe its true. BBC news is a credible news source. But as far as the manner if the deaths i don't think that a mystic force killed the Yakuza bosses. In Japan the Yakuza is the name for Organized crime, Much like the Mafia here in the states. The only difference is the Yakuza in Japan act much more freely and obviously. This is because the Yakuza has infiltrated much of the Japanese government and economy. I think the mysterious deaths are from rival fractions of the Yakuza wanting more power or because of a coo set up by lower ranking members to advance to power. Much like how John Gotti rose to power within the Gambino crime family by killing then Boss Frank Constellano. Another very real possibility is the Japanese government and the CIA working in unison to take down the very powerful Yakuza from the most powerful members first to the foot soldiers. In Japan the Yakuza run the cites literally. Cops can't stop them. So maybe the Japanese are trying to rid themselves of them once and for all, A lot like what then mayor of New York Rudy Julliani did in the middle and late 80's.

I don't know, but I hope so. That would be kick ***. I have been worried about the world and the way we are doing things for a long time. I was thinking a big natural disaster was on its way, but maybe this will save us.

unfortunatly, its not true. if you do a search on the bbc website, you will find no sign of it. its either avery good fake, or a excellent bbc prank, but if that were so, it would be somewhere on their web page. sorry! if you search for yakuza or kira on bbc news, nothing either remotely similar comes up. love to meet who came up with that though!

Well,... If it is true, I would say that Japan has a vigilante on their hands, and it comes in the form of "KIRA". (wonder what that means?)
