We have a 93 honda civic and a hose that is leaking and its right under the distribiter. My bf took the cap off the distribiter already he wants to know if there is any thing he should know about the distribiter before he takes it off? like if its not on perfectly will the car not start stuff like that plz help

if its not on just right your going to have big problems the timing will be off try to make marks were its set you could end up with a car with big problems forgein cars are like puzzels if 1 thing is wrong it starts a chain he also my need a timing light after he puts it back on but he really needs to make marks or it could end up very bad

Make a mark on the engine or something that indicates exactly where the rotor is pointing.

That way, when he reinstalls it, he won't have to readjust the timing.

why does he have to remove the dist.to replace the hose but every one is right mark it an put it back in same spot.

on the top ear scribe marks on the head and tab on the dist the dist on that model only goes in one way so its an easy one to do

yup it wount start or it will run poorly. scrib marks on on the body to the rotor position then the rotor position to the block and if you mark it correctly you should be good

scribe marks on the shaft so that when you put it back it goes back the same way...yeah if not on the right way the car wont run, wont distribute spark properly.
