You need to buy that car! there aren't many of them left and they were a factory muscle car.Very Cool, Keep it original and the value of it keeps going up as time passes.

I am not sure why you're posting this on the Pontiac board because the Skylark, as you pointed out, is a Buick. It has a 455 Buick engine and not a 455 Pontiac engine, right?
Unless it's a GS, the 455 cannot be correct for the Skylark so it's hard to judge. You should go to www.v8buick.com for more info and to ask some experts. As is, you have the potential for a subtle yet fast as hell hotrod.

Buick Skylark GS was one of the most potent muscle cars of the era and the GS version put out something like 500 ft-lb's of torque...one of the highest. Even the standard 455 was pretty strong and wouldn't be snifffed at. I had a 69 Charger RT 440 and had a few races against these cars and had my hands full trying to beat em. Good luck, Paul

Nice car! My high school buddy had one. It was originally a 350 car but we dropped in a 455. That thing would haul ***!!
Buy it if the price is right. Muscle cars only go up in value.
One thing, you will get to know the people at the gas station by their first names. Hope you have a daily driver car that is better on gas.
