Do you notice that the advertisement is getting more and more in the TV? Besides the commercial advertisement, you can see also the advertisement on the tv programmes for others peers channel like 'suria', 'channel 5' , 'U channel .... and the normal TV series in channel 8(if you are watching channel 8 now).
What the hell they are doing ? They thought we have times to watch all these programmes? or they thought we are so absent minded that we need to be reminded repeatedly what show is going on for each day of the week?
Please ask them to stop all these nonsent, we are not paying $110 per year to see all these advertisement !

This is how the networks make there money. When TV first came out - late 40's - there wasn't any ads. But, as TV has been more popular, and more people are watching longer, the ads have increased. In a half hour show, you will see 10 to 12 minutes in advertisments. If the show is one hour long, you will probably see 20 minutes of ads. If you don't want your program interrupted get HBO.

Advertising while a show is going has increased because of the digital recording devices out there. People are "skipping" though the commercials, so they have to promote then. Who are you paying $110??

Advertising pays saleries and promotes products. Tv is not free; the cable industry has seen to that, blame them. Certain networks (MSG for example) want a higher fee for their product.
It's all about the MONEY.

This is in the wrong catagory!

This is the TV (Drama) section, do you have a question about a television show or maybe even a comment.

Advertisements give you time to get a snack or go to the bathroom.
