maybe lack of knowing the language. not knowing some of words, i'm not a foreign student and yet i still have a hard time with the american language.

There may be colloqial terms and phrases included. Technical terms are hard enough when you speak the langauge but are an additional strain when you are translating from a second langauge.

hmmmmmmmmmmm.well it could be several things. 1st it would be an issue if they speak, and understand the language somewhat. can they read it? can they write it??? being from germany myself and living in the US i know for me it is hard to fill out paperwork and stuff for lack of understanding what is required completely, hope that can help u........gl

1) Because the teacher is talking to fast and they cannot keep up.
2) Because they do not understand all the words of the language
3) Because they are not listening
4) Because they are thinking about their homeland
5) Because they didn't bring pencil and paper..lol

the teacher going at a pace that they're not familiar with, not understanding the english language, they don't understand what the teacher is talking about...
